i remember when i was like 8 or something i was watching the history channel and some guy said they called the japanese soldiers nips, and i said that infront of my father (not really understnading fully), he almost kicked my ass

just your standard deragatory term, its just like jap actually but japanese obviously dont call themselves japanese their nipponjin or nihonjin, shortened to nip, and then mispronounced (lol)
