@cps
are you absolutely sure 18" rims Will not fit? I have read somewhere they should? I have a set of styling 162 18" for wintersetup that I thought would do it? If not I Will have to keep my 19" VMR703 for wintersetup Also a lot of ppl has reported a change in pedal feel to the worse, but you don't have that experience? For the pedal feel i think its less solid than stock brake. However its more linear and easy to control the stopping distance. Tuner said it can be improved by changing m sport pad. @vwetish
Hmm I really don't know if I should pull the trigger on those brakes......or just upgrade the 335 size rotors/pads I already got. The reason for upgrade is that I often have fading with some fast driving on the highway with a few fast braking from +200 km/h down to 120 km/h. And that annoys me

Ahh I know that tread. But he also states that the pedal feel changes to the softer side

Are you saying that the pedal feel should be close to what it is now by only upgrading the fronts?
After reading your post where you recomended to use the performance rotors of 345x24, I considered that solution. Can that rotor replace the one I got(338x?) using the same std 335 caliper?

The 338x26 forformance from e90 will work with caliper from f30 340x30 but won't be the correct fit. It will not work with e90 335i stock caliper |

Hi there
Ohhh I think you misunderstood me. I would fit the F30 370x30 at the front. At the rear I have the 338x? from the stock 335 brakes. I was thinking of fitting the 345x24 performance rotor at the rear? Would thar work with the 335 stock caliper?

The rears, yes, they fit over the parking shoes, and the dust shield too. However for perfect fit you will have to trim the rotor about 3-4mm, not more, which is very easy. By doing that they will fit ideally under the caliper and you will not have 3-4mm rust ring. Photos bellow are just for reference. You can do it yourself or have a lathe shop trim them a little. |

Hmm, then I will just leave them as is. Might change to a pair of drilled Zimmermans instead. I'm not a big fan of trimming the rotors....

see photos to see what I'm talking about. I perfectly safe. It has been done many time. Even on cars that are track dedicated and see a lot of abuse. You seen to like the f30 performance rotors there for I encourage you to go for it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/07-12-BMW-33...0796a2&vxp=mtr They are cheap. Buy and and give it a try. Is only 3-4mm |
