That button inside the hand rest...
Anyone know what that is for? it is a button with an o and - near the vent looking thing...
help

has anyone ever used this button? I remember during delivery, the guy spent like 15 minutes telling me and my GF about it. I was like great, tell me more about the two turbos pls thx

It will heat or cool your iPhone...or whatever else you store in the compartment. I can only imagine it is intended for use in hot weather to protect your personal electronics from heat coming up through the tunnel. Can't figure out why you'd ever heat it...

Don't leave your snickers bar in there with heat full blasting.

Buttons involve pushing. Switches involve flipping. Knobs involve turning.
It controls air flow to the "cup holder". Midget water bottles. |

You can open airflow to cool whatever drink you have sitting it there. I believe its outside air, correct? I forgot about it and was always wondering why it was ice cold whenver I opened it.

No - it's not outside air. It's whatever air you have coming out of your vents - AC, heat, etc... With the AC on you can make it pretty cold in there...

My wife loves it... she used to keep the baby bottle nice and cool in the summer...

Oh OK that still makes sense. I guess I had it closed so the warm air from the cabin just never made its way in there haha.

The temp is actualy controlled by what you have your REAR vent set to.

Oh wow, that's what I figured it would be...I guess it can come in handy to keep warm my soup to go! or coffee! Wow I love BMW!!
