I did another log with HPFP and LPFP included. Still getting tons of corrections, driving me nuts but will start throwing in some E-85 every fill up to clear those up if I get a all clear signal on the performance of my fuel pumps. Any insight to these numbers would very much be appreciated.
Thanks again Marv for the headsup on logging these parameters by the way.

hi guys,

hope this attachment works (sorry, cobb newb here). I'm running stage1+ aggressive ST on 93. (stock DPs right now). Doesn't look too bad to me, but let me know what you think.

Looks ok at first, but looks like a 2nd, 3rd, 4th gear run. Best to do a 3rd gear pull (read the start of this thread to get the details, 2500-redline). Virtual Dyno is a great app to track your logs too.

Thanks but this was 2-3 gear pull. I used VD to look at it but I just wanted some more seasoned eyes to verify.

Edit: I looked back at it...I see what you're saying. I definitely wasn't in 4th to redline...I'd have been going about 120-130 mph lol. I think when I stomped it in second it kicked down on me.

Ya, 4th is usually not a pratical, safe, or a very legal option, but 3rd works well enough. You need a full pull in 3rd gear from 2500rpm (any lower is a strain on the engine) up to redline. No shifting, as it will cause the "noise" in the logs with engine timing adjustments, etc.

I usually start logging as I cruise along in 3rd at 2000rpm, then slowly increase speed until 2500rpm where I hammer down and go WOT until redline, then shift, slow down and stop logging. After which, I edit the logs to include the point where I hit 99.61 TPS (which should be aruond 2500rpm) up to redline (usually where you will see timing go from its steady climb up to 8~9 to something drastically different as you shift.

Here's a couple of mine. One on Stage 1 Sport, and one on Aggressive. I monitor the charge temp and overall timing correction in addition to the basics, and don't worry about the waste gate stuff anymore (I'm not a pro-tuner). You will notice on the aggressive map, the only timing correction done is an overall adjustment once the charge temp hits 110 degrees. The runs were done on different days, one being much hotter. But as you can see with both, no cylinder timing corrections anywhere, which is what you want to see (ideally). I'm running 94 octane always, and have no bolt-ons.... yet intercooler is next on my list, since it is the bottleneck at this point when the days get warm, and it's robbing my top end HP.

Looked good to me, overall looks like you hit max timing and boost for S1+ Agg. Enjoy!

I would log CAT's. Reset Data Log Lists and use that. You don't need to log your fuel trims if you not running Ethanol, IMO.

Thanks for your input. I'll reset it. I only logged those since I had been maxing fuel trims on procede. Looks like all is well since I had the hpfp replaced. Time to put the dps back on and run stage 2 and E85!!!

What map and what are your mods and what feel are you running?
Just grab a log of a 3rd gear pull. Doing pulls like that through multiple gears can make things look worse than they are. As it is you're seeing timing corrections but i'd like to see how a single gear pull looks.

i have DCI, DP, and FMIC... running stage 2 + FMIC Aggressive

i started out in 3rd gear... 2500 rpm, when i pressed pass the kick down it down shifted to 2nd gear, so did all of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear.. got up to about 130 mph if i recall correctly

Practice rolling into the throttle to prevent the downshift and I think Vneblob posted a trick to eliminate the kickdown while logging. Those downshifts can wreak havoc with datalogs.

Essentially you can hit full throttle without hitting kickdown. So to mitigate hitting the kickdown you have to put a spacer between the floor and the Pedal. I think it's about 5/16" spacer

Be sure to use the COBB to display throttle position and make sure at hundred percent when hitting the spacer And not the kick down.

'Proper values'

Have been searching for a complementing list to this thread that is useful for all of us learning the ropes.
The list I would find really useful basically consist of four columns:
1. List of values available to log (data log list)
2. Explanation of the values in col. 1
3. General intervals for what the logged values should look like (proper intervals)
4. Possible explanations for deviations from "proper intervals"

There should be a list of this kind somewhere, but where is it? And yes, I have tried searching.

Cheers,
OB

the only thing you need to log are the std. values. if you use E85 add STFT.
if you have TPS closures add as well maf req ... and boost setpoint.
In order to understand how to read and what are the proper one you need to read a lot here and learn.
Also check the ATR pdf how to that cobb did. lots of explanations there

I guess I'm not following...rader1's OP in this very thread does exactly this, no? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding what you're requesting...
