Anyone running RE-11s?

Was thinking of getting some RE-11's after reading numerous reviews all over the internet and wanted to get some input from some E9X guys. So is anyone with an E9X running the RE-11s? If so, how are they?

Iv personally ran their little brother; the RE01-R's on the street and track and they are the best tires iv driven on. Steering response and grip is amazing... Even though they are a bit more expensive then other Ultra High-Per Summer tires, they are well worth it if you are trying to look for the top of the line in grip.

With ultimate grip comes the downside of low tread wear. If you looking to get a good amount of mileage out of this tire, it might be a bit tough.

How much tread life do you think I could get with the RE-11's? I wouldn't want to get them if they aren't going to last long.

I think they made that quite clear... Soft tires = high grip = short life. PERIOD!! If you change any one of those three you really sacrifice one of the remaining two.

I have been considering them but since I drive about 22k per year I am going to pass. I am going to try the Vredestien tires that seem to be very popular in Europe.

RE-11 tires are 180 treadwear rated... for example on my 350z (which eats tires btw so you might get a little more life on your E9x) I ran PS2's with 220 treadwear and got about 15k miles. PS2's are known for relatively long life considering their softness. Then I had a set of Falken Azenis RT-615 tires with a treadwear of 200 and they lasted 10k rear and 12k front. I am only assuming tires as soft as these RE-11's will barely last 10k if that on my 335i but I have not tried them yet.

Several posters have the RE-11s and have posted reviews. Try searching.
There is a lot of useful comparative info on TireRack website.

Ditto, Tirerack.com does offer customer feedback in different road conditions, which I personally love!
