I've read that the reliable of the 335i is below average...I love the car and I hope I don't have to spend a fortune fixing it.....I am looking forward to picking it up next Friday

Your leasing right? Every issue that you might run into is going to be covered under warranty. This is my second e90. Only had one incident with my first one and warranty covered everything. The e90 has been out for 6 years now so most of the bugs are worked out. The n55 is pretty good on gas also compared to the n54 twin turbo.

Hi pyceasyas123, thank you for the info....I feel much better after seeing what you've written. This is my first BMW, I was thinking of getting the 328i Xdrive, but when I saw this 335i Xdrive Special Edition, I couldn't sleep well for a couple of days, so I went back to deal and got the deal with them, even though it is about $9000 more
Yes I am leasing it. I know that they covering an problem under the warranty, but I would hate to have to bring my car in for repair other than normal regular maintenance....

Only had to take my last e90 in once for a non-regular maintenance. Scheduled maintenance for these cars is approx every 24000km so you will be in the shop a lot less than most other cars out there. You made the right choice with the 335 vs. the 328 in my opinion. There is a day and night difference in power and responsiveness of the car (I've had 323 and 328 loaners for a few days). Also, 335 is better on gas. This special edition is just a great package also...a lot for very little (relatively speaking).

Not sure about that. I heard that dealers got about 10-20 SE cars. That will be a combo between jerez and ruby I guess but there are a lot of dealerships across Canada. Find some winter wheels/tires if you plan on driving in the winter. Its a shame to ruin those 19's in the salt and they also have summer tires stock not all seasons.

Just wait till you start the car up. The minute you hear the exhaust note on a cold start your eyes will light up like a kid in a candy store. Thing sounds like a beast.

I'm sure my neighbours hate me by now, but the car does quiet down quickly after starting up. It's definitely not as loud as my neighbour's modded Subaru across the street .

I was parked in a parking garage yesterday....after 8 hours started it up and I'm sure I set off an alarm or two

My leasing is approved as per the BMW Autohaus sales represent.
However, when I look at the quote again I noteced that the dealer is charging some strange fees in the on top of the price of the car:

Admin: $299,
Predelivery Expense: $1295
Locking wheel bolts: $89.50
Freight: $800
Ontario Tire Stewardship (4 tires): $23.46
Other Dealer Options: $403
PPSA due on delivery: $53.73
Fuel-new & demo cars: $90
License: $10
It comes to $3063.69

The total is: price of the car ($55K) + $3063.69 + 13% HST

Do you guys have to pay about $3000 on top of the price of the car?

For one thing; what is the charge under Other Dealer Options for $403???

Any comment will be appreciated

May seem like a rip off and it is...but this is normal. Varies slightly dealer to dealer but its normal for them to charge for these items here in Canada anyways...not sure about the US (the people that replied above me). Everyone pays some variation of these fees if that makes you feel any better. Make sure your car isn't scratched. Check the piano black wood. Don't accept the car if there are issues...since you are paying for them to make it perfect.

Thanks! I'll check the interior and exterior for sure, as they have the car on the show room for a couple days! Anything else I should pay attention to when picking up the card?

Any suggestion on what and where to get for a good set of winter wheels/tire?

I went through here and a few other guys did as well. Great prices and really nice replica BMW rims. I went 18in, most went 17in.

Either go 17" or 18". Most run a square setup in winter (same wheel wide front and back). If you have an idea of what you want (style etc) we can make some suggestions. There are a few shops in Toronto that have great reputations. You can also watch the canadian classifieds. Winter is nearly over I'd wait till next year.

I guess I'lll wait till next year. There aren't too much snow this year in GTA. I'm picking up the car this coming Friday and I'll drive it when there is no snow. That gives me lots of time to look for a good sets of wheels in GTA area. I don't know much about the style, but when I see it I'll know which style I want. Any suggestion for a good shop to go to in Toront?

They have really good prices but shipping to Canada is like $75 (each? Or a set of 4?).

Garage List
just hit my 3month with the car a few days ago and ive gotta say the only problem I have with it is windshield wiper is kind of streaky (could be negligence :P)

i loooove the gear ratios, for traffic its shit because 1st is so bloody short so im always shifting in and out of 2nd..but for opening it up its amazing. I gave my girlfriend whiplash when i was under the tunnel (by ACC/skydome) and I punched it in 1st

anyone know 0-100 times? Im confident it will do it under 5seconds

and summertime comes, im getting a downpipe..im addicted to the sound!

no one has really posted 0-60 times with the power kit. im sure its about 5 or slightly less. id get a tune before you go downpipes though. you'll need something to clear the codes that catless downpipes throw and to maximize power

im enjoying my car as well. waiting for a photoshoot soon with my current mods.
