Fuel-It stage 2 issue : P2A22 code

After a fill up and 200 miles of driving I noticed my fuel gauge is stuck at 3/4 full after my fuel it stage 2 install. I have no idea what's causing this issue and I already tried taking the pump out and reinstalling. Anyone ever experience this?

Recheck the fuel level sensor. Make sure it isn't damaged and plugged in correctly

Well if your fuel level isn't changing and you are getting that code; my guess it's the fuel level sensor isn't working properly. Not many other things factor into the fuel level gauge...

I spent months chasing a fuel gauge issue after my Stage 2 install. Mine was the gauge wouldn't go higher than 3/4. I changed out float sensors, top hats, reset adaptations, bought a new battery, etc. It ended up being a mechanical obstruction keeping the float sensor from moving all the way up. The pump itself got tilted in the bucket and the float sensor was hitting the fuel line bundy. The problem it is difficult to see when you remove the bucket. I was able to finally see by letting the top hat up very slow, just enough where i could see into the tank. I use a stiff wire to actuate the float level arm and i could see it hitting.

I would take it out again slowly and see if you can see the top of the float sensor hitting. Here is a picture of my old Stage 2 where the Walbro had moved and got tilted causing the issue.

Reinstalled 1 more time and it is working fine now . What psi are you guys getting at idle?

Glad you got it solved!

~72psi. Interestingly when I first installed it I was only seeing 50psi at idle and when I went WOT it would go up much higher where you would expect it to be. 50psi is considered the low threshold so I was a bit worried. I was running JB4/backend Flash at the time. I reflashed the car with a full write and after that it went to ~72psi at idle. It was strange and even Steve wasn't sure why it did that.

EDIT: I talked to Dimitri and see you are on the Cobb now. I would try uninstalling the Cobb completely and then reinstalling. As long as the pressure ramps up to the normal range under WOT it should be fine. I'd let Steve at Fuel it know as well. I don't think this is a common thing to happen.

Also, even though you idling at 57, does the pressure go up under load/throttle?

The pressure doesn't seem to be moving much. Resetting adaptations with INPA or BT may help as well. Did you disconnect the battery during the install?

Mine was all over the place at first and got a fuel over pressure code for the first day but now it's settled down a lot. It still gets down to 50 psi for one log cycle then immediately recovers, I think it's just mostly a little shower to react to changes

I think Steve advocates in his instructions now. Disconnecting and leave it sit overnight. Safety wise it's not a concern because as soon as you pull the connectors on the top hat it kills the power. When mine did that I didn't disconnect the battery either.

Your working with gas, gas vapors and electrical connectors, what do you think Probably not as important an oversight as with stage 1 install but hell yeah you should disconnect the battery!

It sounds as though you may have some issues with your connections.

I'd recommend re-seating all your connections both electrical and plumbing and make sure they all click in place.

We've seen a couple cases where people have attached their stock fuel line, but didn't push it all the way on (it didn't click) and this resulted in lower fuel pressures.

Please re-seat your connections and send us pics of your install.

Ok I took tomorrow off just to resolve this issue. I'll post pics of my install, but I was extra thorough this last time i was in there. Got some electrical cleaner as well.
