Wheel locks
Everyone knows that wheel locks can be defeated fairly easily nowadays. It takes more effort, but their effective security is only good enough to stop an opportunist (which makes up a majority of thieves). Either way, they're important to have.
I've been trying to find some better wheels locks that come in various different sizes; specifically, ones with a rotating collar that defeats reverse-threaded sockets. I've only found one, McGard SL: http://www.mcgard.de/en/home/automot...-security.html I can only find them from UK sites, and the cost to actually get them is over double that of regular wheel locks due to shipping and currency conversions. I haven't been able to find any other brands that offer this type of security for wheel bolts. Anyone know of other options out there? Of course, insurance takes care of wheels and tires, but it's not something I would necessarily like to deal with. Last edited by Welcome to NBA Jam; 03-03-2015 at 09:29 AM.. |
