However, I would always give the standard springs a try before swapping them out, as Öhlins developed the kit like this and I do believe that they are competent enough to know what they're doing. If you still find it too soft, you can always change the springs later. Alpina_B3_Lux

Does anyone knows if the Ohlins are gas pressurized or emulsion? Someone told me they are gased but I couldn't find any reading about this part nor I could find a gas inset valve on the shocks or struts.

I can see a damper on your diff. Who makes them? Does it work? Did you changed your diff bushes? Thanks for sharing.

[QUOTE=e679;13294331]Looks like he has DEFIVfab differential lockdown kit which eliminates wheel hop. This is a new product that is getting great reviews.

Hi Alpina_B3_Lux, which set of coilovers gave a better time at the ring?

But as indicated in the review, the Öhlins suspension feels much more solid and confidence-inspiring than the Bilstein, in particular due to the absence of any lateral movement of the rear axle which I noticed with the Bilstein. For me it is therefor clear that the Öhlins suspension allows you to be much more at ease with the car, which in turn will allow you to go faster with it. Alpina_B3_Lux

I did change my diff bushings to solid ones and the black rod is not a damper its a tie rod that connects the bushing and diff together. I would recommend this kit for anyone experiencing wheel hop or who is running higher boost pressures.

there is no NVH the install is pretty simple once you have the right tools. The kit is well made and the customer support is unmatched. It comes with install directions also. you wont be dissapointed with this kit.

Thanks tres. I can tell the design is good and it is well made, Although it is hard to believe that solid bush does not transmit any noise and vibration.

it doesnt you can check out the reveiws on *********** and no one has any complaints of nvh. If you had solid subframe or transmission mounts then you will have a ton load of nvh.

Ohlins R&T spring rates
Getting ready to pull the trigger on a set of Ohlins R&T with 336 front springs, 616 rear Swift springs, and Vorshlag Camber plates. This is after researching AST's, TCK DA's, GC DA's, KW V2's, V3's, etc. 95% DD, 5% track. Not completely confident in the spring rate choice, any thoughts on going stiffer in front or rear?

Why not try the Ohlins-supplied springs first, and only change to another rate if you're not happy? I'm very satisfied with mine (road use only) and the OP is also happy with the Ohlins springs...and he regularly drives on the Nurburgring! (See post #24).
