Thumbs down Do Not Go To Tom Lyons Tire In Waltham

I went there July 2 to have my tires removed from my 17" OEM 188 rims and those guys chipped 2 of my rims. I brought it to their attention this morning and the Indian guy who changed my tires say he didn't do it and walked away. Then the CA guy (JR) said he'll call me back when his boss arrives. It's now 6:15 pm still no response.

I'm so frustrated i went to this place.

I think i should call the BBB and file a complaint.

You'll prob get reimbursed man, shit happens. Just sucks that the guy denied it. Make sure that it were them who did it you know.

We went to Eastside to install HIDs on my bro's wife's Xterra and my gf's RSX. Very cool guys. One of the guys (worker or a friend) is actually the nephew of my orthopedic surgeon.

I did not think they were really big time when we went about 1 1/2 years ago, but it looks like I see Eastside Motoring stickers all over the place now.

they've been pretty big for some time. They do a lot of work for the celtics players. Ray Allen brought his 599 to them

Definitely stay away from Tom Lyons.

When I first moved to Waltham, I took my Subie there to get the stock Potenzas replaces with ContiExtremeContacts. They did an absolutely HORRIBLE balancing job. The vibration in my steering wheel was so unbearable that you could barely hold on to it when driving at highway speeds. Took the car back, and they "rebalanced" the wheels, with abdolutely no difference. They claimed the wheels balanced properly on their machine, and that I should not be having any problems. Their "solution" was to say that one of the wheels was most likely dented, and that they would recommend ordering 4 new wheels (and they even happened to be running a "special" on a new aftermarket rim set that they offered to sell me).

I finally took the car back to the dealer, who fixed the problem. What was wrong? You guessed it- the wheels were improperly balanced. The technician at the delar said the balance was about as far off as he had ever seen in 18 years. In fact, when he took the counterwieghts off that Tom Lyons had used and checked just the stock tire with no counterweights, the wheels were closer to being properly balanced than they were with the weight setup that Tom Lyons had used.

Needless to say, my BMW has never gone within 500 feet of Tom Lyons.
