320d coolant leaking

coolant level warning light came on yesterday, took 2.5 ltrs of antifreeze. drove for 1 mile today parked up, when i started the car again the warning light came back on. looks like its coming out of the expansion tank vent, bonnet sound proofing is wet above the expansion tank aswell. any ideas

Open the hood, turn on the car and keep a close eye, and you will find where its leaking.

Double check the bleeding screw on expansion tank aswell.

Probably the water pump.

Get it checked.

Also go into hidden menu and see if it is overheating... As mentioned above, it can be water pump.

it is coming from the bleed valve in the expansion tank. i have ordered a new one, could it be as simple as the 'O' ring worn or could there be other concerns?

Changing the o ring should sort it out. But if it still happens then the pressure in coolant may be high due to partial obstruction or water pump failure. These are worst case scenario.
Dont overfill it after replacing the O ring.

changed the bleed screw and o ring, all good at the moment
