Clay bar ?
Hey,
i was wondering if someone can tell me how a clay bar is applied on your car and when to apply it. Also can you use it on windows? Thanks! |

1 wash and dry car completely
2 spray lube on a small area 3 rub clay on that area with only enough pressure to hold the clay to the paint 4 keep rubbing until you feel the clay slide smooth 5 dry area with a microfiber towel 6 knead clay to get a fresh surface 7 repeat 2-6 and yes you can use it on the windows |

Do you really have to dry the car after the wash before claying it?

claying cleans the paint of small tar spots and adhered imperfections
polish / compounds will remove a microfine layer of the top layer of paint / lacquer Waxes seal the surface and protect it from contact damage and UV damage (in very small degrees though ..) if you polish the paint, you must seal it.. But if you only clay , then you are just removing what is sitting on top of the wax , if the wax is still present of course |

2. that's the correct steps 3. the mirror look is based on the condition of the paint. wax gives you the glow or wet look |

But I don't let the car air dry, I dry it after I've clayed it.

best to dry the entire car to stop flying dust sticking to the car .. this adds to fine scratches .
Wash , dry , paint cleaner clay polish wax wax again then admire the wickedness |
