Cost of and help with FRM?

Hey guys if there is a short circuit in the footwell module, is it definite that the FRM needs to be changed? Can someone link me to a part number and/or a ballpark for how much this would cost?

This is on a 06 330i

not sure if this is the same part but i noticed this earlier while looking through the classified section. i believe you will need to get the replacement coded to your car

I think a short circuit is also from having a bulb out. Not sure though.

the guy at my indy shop said that the FRM would be around 800 and its not the bulbs i checked. to be more detailed, the short circuit is keeping my drivers side angel eye and turn signal from working. i was also told that they could not be reprogrammed and have to come programmed for your car from the factory, am i thinking of the wrong part?

modules can reprogrammed. you just need to find someone with BMW coding experience. try asking in the NY regional section?

apparently its possible to reset the short circuit error too. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...1611769&page=2

since it is for my headlamps, i believe it is the FRM. and although the code can be reset, what if the FRM was damaged by the short circuit? then just reprogramming wouldnt do the trick correct?
