iPOD auxillary input & armrest

So can you close the armrest all the way while your iPOD is inside the armrest and hooked up to the aux input and playing? WTF???

That would really suck if you had to cruise around with the armrest open in order to have the iPOD hooked up to the aux input and playing.

Yea, sorry dont actually have my car yet.

Yes, no iPOD option.

I mean the aux jack that comes standard in the armrest.

What cable do you use?

Don't use the factory supplied usb cable, but use the Ipod adaptor cable wire instead. It fits, and you can close the center console. The only issue you will find is that your song selection is muffled and you won't be able to decifer your ipod configurations...

Dont need info on a USB cable, or any other installed option, because I did not get the iPOD integration option. I am referring to the aux input jack that comes STANDARD. That cable that looks like this:

Just wanting to be sure I can close the armrest while iPOD is hooked up and playing WITH THIS TYPE OF CABLE.

I use the right-angle patch cable discussed here:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3172

works really well, and I can close the armrest with no problem.

I purchased this cable on Ebay. It works great. Now I only have one cable coming out of my armrest instead of two. The sounds is a bit better coming out of the bottom of the ipod instead of using the headphone jack also.
