PRE LCI to LCI question/need help

Hello All,

I know that I probably am just sucking at finding what I am looking for, but I have spent the last 2-3 hours trying to figure this out. I have a 07' 328i w/ sport package, I am expecting to keep this car for at least another 5 years as I am just under 81k miles, I want to do the the LCI conversion but want to know do I need to replace the headlights or is there a hood/bumper that will fit with the 07' xenon headlights. I don't really want to go all out and do the headlights as I heard its a pain in the ass. If anyone can guide me to a post that shows what you need to do it would be great. Or if someone just could tell me what I need to buy. I was planning on just getting a m3 style front bumper and attempting to find a decent hood but rather just do the LCI conversion.

Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

You will need the LCI hood, bumper and the kidney grill. You'll also want to do the rear which is the trunk lid and the complete taillights. Also to complete the look, you will need to change the rockers and the rear bumper to match and complete the look but not necessary.

M3 style bumper...simply No. This was popular during the early days but the more I look at pre LCI E90 lines and design, the Mtech and the Performance body is being overlooked.

IMHO the pre LCI mtech is simply stunning and beautiful. Its also period correct, You should spend the money to convert to that. Here is some inspiration:

Would this Bumper fit? I am only asking because I really don't want to buy it and have to return it.

The price of that bumper is of concern. It docent say the material that it's made of in the posting. could possibly from fiberglass. That you would steer clear from. I cannot say what fitment would be. These are aftermarket stuff; they may or not need modifications to fit.

Yea, I decided to stay away from that, I'm going to go with the ECS m-tech LCI bumper with LCI hood and grills.

Thanks for all the info!

Umm... aren't the trunks the same?

Just get LCI tails and call it a day. That alone will freshen up the look of the car. Unless you want to dump unnecessary money on new headlights, front bumper and hood. Personally, I don't like the LCI headlights.

Edit: just saw that you got and LCI bumper and hood. I'm not sure that will work unless you get headlights too.

Edit 2: You also never mentioned whether you have an e90 or e92... If you have an e90, you can do just the hood and bumper. If you have an e92, you have to do all 3- hood, bumper and headlights.

Sorry, it's an e90. Yeah I'm going to get he ECS mtech bumper and get a hood and have them painted at body shop that's reputable here in Boston. I'm glad I don't need to do the headlights. Because I like my headlights the xenons.

Edit - In terms of the rear I'm most likely just going to do as you said and just replace the taillights, don't really need a trunk lid or rear bumper as mine is still in pretty good shape. Also, I didn't purchase the bumper yet it's on back order on ECS tunings website, so I have to wait but I ordered the hood last night. Q

Some forum vendors should be able to source a bumper for you if you like.

I have an 07 328xi with xenons. i got the m-tech lci front bumper and kept the pre-lci grills and hood. there is a small gap due to the pre-lci and lci combo, but nothing to worry about, however, someday I hope to get the lci hood and grills.
