Bump Stop and Coilovers Questions

All,

I have a 335 Xdrive and I have been looking to buy KW V1s.
I have a couple questions (maybe noob questions)

(1) Is there a kw v1 version for xdrive or do all kw v1s fit both xdrive and non?

(2) Does removing the bump stops allow the car to drop more?

(3) If so, what are the hazards of removing the bump stops. I don't want to drop my xdrive that much, and therefore I don't think I would need to remove or trim my bump stops. Regardless, height aside, is it better for handling and ride comfort to keep the bump stops in or take them out?
What exactly is their function?

Thanks.

there is a specific xi version

removing bumpstops is a bad idea, it will not drop the car more. a bumpstop makes sure that the coil doesnt travel to its fully closed position. If this happens it may damage the coil and cause it to start leaking

On a coilover there is a threaded shaft with a circular seat that the shock sits on. You spin this seat up or down in order to raise or lower the car.
