Thank you all for your kind words. It was a great pleasure meeting and "conversing" with you all during the past four years. Without a doubt I will miss attending the meets but I have no plans to vacate the UK forum.

BTW, Hoops, I never rode in your GT-R. I did ride my first lap at Nürburgring in your M3 in May, though, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I've known Floyd since that very first meet, back in April 2006 & I think we've been friends ever since.

I'll make a good effort to get over to the States & see you in your new home, should you care to have me & Melissa, Floyd.

In the meantime, make the most of your time back 'home', enjoy yourself & your driving with Cyd again.

I missed this thread tbh as I've been busy helping Mum move house over the past few days and have been generally knackered and plagued with back ache.

More importantly, I'm pleased you arrived safely back in the US and have been reunited with your car.

I got back home OK but Cyd has been in the shop since Monday afternoon. Seems the left tail light unit has leaked all over the stereo amplifier and it's taken BMW the past two days to determine this. It's being reprogrammed now. What I don't know is how they're going to deal with the tail lights. They are European amber instead of North American red. It may be odd driving with a red left turn signal and an amber right turn signal. If they were to do it right they'd replace both and let me order a new left one out west (on their dime).

Edit: Cyd is singing again!

Somehow the turn signals are amber, too!
