True. I don't really care about increasing peak power, but rather increasing that area under the curve. And if ATP can smooth things out at the same time, all the better

I'm sorry if this has already been covered... With stg2+, I'm peaking psi at 19... Is that safe for the turbo's??? Seems really high and i thought it was the general consensus that 17psi was consistently safe... Thanks guys!

Enrita, are you running Stg2+ all the time now? Or just on weekends or something?

Hey all, I posted this on the wrong thread. Used the COBB AP before with no issues, and traded my 335i for a 335xi.

I just installed the AP on my 2nd 2009 E90.
I had updated the AP and the AP Manager both to the latest beta firmware.

I found it kinda odd that it detected my car as being IJEOS, yet Bav Tech shows is as IGD0S. Cobb Support says the Bav Tech has a known bug.

I installed it and did a scan. Code P2FA3 shows up. Cobb AP cannot clear it. DAMN. Use the Bav Tech, it clears it for 10 seconds and it comes back.

Email Cobb Support and waiting for a specialist.

I go to my laptop and look at the backup of the ROMS from my old car and this car. Both say IJE0S.

Something is not right. Why get P2FA3 and then not be able to clear it whether cobb is , or is not installed.

Freaking out for sure.

Hi. Yes. I did update both the AP and AP Manager to the very latest. What is odd is I cannot clear this code even after cobb removed now.

Sorry, I deleted my post once I realized you had already mentioned you had the latest beta firmware.

2FA3 - Coding Error
Incomplete coding, expected when using Cobb AP tune.
Dont worry, just install it and drive, its fine ...

I would delete the ROM of your old car though if its on the AP , it takes lots of memory.

thanks for the info. The point is, put the COBB AP on the car and got the code. Took the COBB AP off the car and still have P2FA3 and CANNOT remove it.

Cobb support says not to worry about it. I'm worrying about it as it wasn't there when I pre-scanned the car with BT cable before the install.

The P2FA3 code is a common code that happens under a wide variety of circumstances. It will not cause any performance issues, so it's nothing to worry about. This code typically does not show up when using the AccessPORT flash (it did in older firmware), but we still see it in rare circumstances. But, like stated before, nothing to worry about!

My boost is still tapering off to like 8psi at redline. Stage 2+ aggressive. What's up with that? Installed latest firmware.

The tune is designed to taper off at redline but to what extent I am not sure. What are you seeing at peak?

Some ROMs have a boost reporting issue, it's actually tapering to about ~13psi at redline. Update your firmware, if you already have the latest firmware than it'll probably be fixed with the next firmware release.

I can't get to the Stage 2+ Stock map on the Cobb site...I'm on a Mac and it won't scroll down to the map link.

I'm on the IJEOS.

Thanks,
Manny

Just flashed the ap for the first time on my 335xi, very noticeable difference. Figured I'd give linear throttle a try, I do have to say that while driving slow, it makes my car feel slower lol. I am happy overall though. Loved it on my Subaru... got it protuned and that thing flew.
