That code means that the ecu has been flashed. It will go away when you unistall the cobb unit. The next update will cause that code not to appear.

Everyone has that code.

why does everyone think naming a tune "stage II" is going to magically add 50whp!! We're already seeing 16-17psi on the 93 oct map. The next map is going to require a DP and meth, and just going to add a little more boost and timing ... Sorry for those of you with just an intake and tune that think you'll get 400 WHP with a near stock car... Not going to happen. Stockers aren't going to last long near 18 psi either ...

Because the high psi is at low RPMs, which tapper off very quickly into the higher rpms where max hp is hit. Cobb has noted that there is a lot of power left up top with proper supporting mods, IE intercooler to decrease intake temps and protect against detonation and DPs/exhaust to allow the turbos to spool up without damage. So the increase in HP is expected when psi is increased from say 11.5 psi to 14 or 15psi and timing is increased in the 5k - 6k range.

Nobody is expecting to hit 400 whp with just a tune and intake.

However, approaching that mark with full bolt-ons IS feasible. People are easily hitting 370-380 whp on piggybacks with full bolt-ons. With the direct control offered by a flash tune, I'm sure it's easily possible to get that last 20-30 whp needed to hit 400whp with full bolt-ons.

If you look at the Cobb stage 2 beta dyno graph posted in comparison to their stock run, it is a 100 whp delta. You do the math.

How accurate is the 0 to 60 mph and quarter mile recording feature of the Cobb? Close? Way off?

The 0-60 should be fairly accurate given that the wheels and the tires are within the factory spec diameter. Cobb (similar to P3 gauge) taps into the CAN bus and obtains true vehicle speed from it. It then uses a simple timer to give you the 0-60 time.

So, for as long as your wheels and tires have the proper outside diameter, those metrics should be accurate.

I havent seen anyone do a good comparison with say a vbox. As its simply basising the calculation off the time elapsed from 0 mph to 60 mph per the ecu's understanding of speed, its would be as accurate as the ecu's speedo.

I am then happy with 0 to 60 in 4.2

There are very high expectations on Cobb stage 2. Their stage 2 will be similar to giac stage 2 probably. There is only so much you can do given the octane .

Looks like 400whp is potentially reality on pump gas based on that post by Rob, thanks for the info. Typical baselines on stock boost with the necessary bolt ons is around 290-295 whp.

Even more excited now now if Cobb can get us a little more top end power I will be a very happy camper!

Honestly, I'd be more than happy with GIAC stage 2 output if it were possible to unmarry and resell like the Cobb AP. You can always throw on a JB+ for race days
