has anybody been cited for having clear corners on the headlights for not having that nasty amber reflectors on? Can someone help me take mine off, I will pay for the beer!

lol, no im just frustrated. i took my old ones off my 05 S4 with ease by just taking the housing off and going in with a 90 degree tool that pulled it out but these ones seem to be a real pia.

These are a real PIA
Check out longtran's DIA on amber reflector removal. To date, very few have been able to do it because it is soooooo time consuming and difficult. A lot of people are opting for the overlay hunter and eric are selling in the marketplace sub-forum.

Use your $1600 to get the new ones, use the ballasts from your old ones
and sell the old assembly. End of the day I'm sure your total cost will be
less than $1000.

In California, assuming you are too by your location, reflectors in the front are allowed to be clear.

Hmmm....I was under the impression that "reflectors" had to be amber. But the "light bulb/ turning signal light" could be amber or white/clear.

Clear turn signal bulbs in front is okay.....not clear reflectors!
