My car exhibited some serious issue with lack of boost pressure on Saturday I did a full check of everything and could find nothing! I took all my mods off and took her in to BMW, they called me today and said that the waste-gate on #2 turbo was bad and would be replaced under warranty. My car has 61k but I am a CPO. Two hours later they called again and said they will be replacing both turbos, said it would be next week before i get the car back as they had to get the parts in. Should be interesting to see what the invoice says when i get her back.

I have 85k miles and a 3rd party warranty. My wastegates have started rattling pretty bad. 3rd party sent an adjuster to inspect my car and denied claim because he was "unable to reproduce" the problem. Super.

My local dealer is aware and they will replace the turbos if that is what I am hearing...fine. I am super modded and don't have all the stock parts....
You think a nitrous bottle and meth tank in the trunk would deny the repair? |

The dealership was going to take care of me, but BMW NA stepped in, so I'm not going to throw them under the bus. The staff there were quite helpful and apologetic. The way i look at it now, BMW has it flagged as modded, so I might as well start modding, right? Right? |

My dilemma is that I no longer have my stock dps or ic.
I could easily take out my n2o and meth and jb4 though. I was just about to pull the trigger on buying a new set of turbos anyway, so we'll see what I can come up with. |

I just bought the car last month. It has 58k it's a 07 e90 335i. It's sounds like the waste gate is rattling. Should I go to the dealer or wait for the letter?

The suit has had an appeal and the courts have changed their mind. As of today the extension is deactivated guys, I just heard this from a friend at a dealer. Those wanting to return to stock may want to hold off at this point and see exactly how things settle...

i spoke to bmw NA today. i was informed there is a emissions related warranty for the turbo's covered 8/82K miles & also wastegate related issues causing range/performance codes and boost related fault codes... But this claim can be denied by the dealer at will if anythings seems "tampered" like downpipe clamps that had been removed and reinstalled, DmE COVER broken, front mount intercooler, anything they feel is related to the turbos failing will be upto the dealership or feild rep if need be. so BMW is aware of many tuned cars returning there cars back to "stock".... so i called the dealer again and talked to the service manager and the store manager.
They informed me there is no class action law suit and that the turbo rattle is taken by case by case and for the origanal owner only, and that some rattling is normal im getting so pissed off about this. i just want a straight answer EDIT: the store manager just called me back and some how he thought it was talking about the HPFP after i cleared that up he said he was going to call his boss and get to the bottom of this. I should know something tommorow I also called the wirgrum law group in texas and spoke with a NIEL GORO and he is calling BMWNA's laywers on my behaf in the morning to see what they can do about getting me new turbos! I just hope all my wasted time pays off

i am finally getting somewhere with these A holes.
The lawyer thinks that BMW still has to honor the law suit even while its being apealed by BMWs lawyers until its put to rest once and for all keeping my fingers crossed
