How about replacing with Amsoil Nano Filter Cones? (Same material/Brand as Injen/Amsoil Intakes)

http://www.amsoil.com/StoreFront/eaau.aspx

I seriously doubt Injen didn't do any R&D on their BMW Intake tho

Cool! Those things are $60 each, but that might be the ticket. Just gotta figure out which ones would fit the Injen. I'd prefer to not have to adjust with a coupling...plus there needs to be enough clearance around the filters.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the filters that come with the Inen? Specifically I need the flange internal diameter.

By the way, I run Amsoil European. After my first oil change at 7500 miles, I got a 15 degree reduction in my oil temps

same here, but with Redline oil. Lower operating temps... I have yet to get it over 250.

I am sure Injen some R&D, but I am also pretty sure it was on an otherwise stock car. Adding larger CFM filters (even if same basic size but adding the inverted ends) might still come in handy with people running tunes. Stock boost is 8.5 psi. Aftermarket boost is typically 12psi+ (even as high as 19 psi on the turbo melter ) so requirements definitely change.
