This update will eliminate deceleration rattle, but not acceleration rattle.

How is everyone's still holding up? I've learned to deal with my actuator rod rattling, but it would be a convenience to have a BMW that doesn't make tinny noises. My wastegates aren't rattling and I can clearly see the oblonged area of the actuator rod that is causing the rattle.

So I've had the wastegate rattle both accel and deccel. I did the spring fix and it did helps with the deccel rattle quite a bit but now I get an Engine Malfunction reduced power signal when I get higher in the RPM range and boost around 5k rpm. I also noticed my power output is less all around too.

I'm torn because I love that it makes less rattling but it kills me to have essentially stock power and get these error signals when I get on the throttle.

Anyone with experience in my shoes have any ideas. Any input?

I'm thinking of just taking the spring off and dealing with the rattle . I miss the silly high power. BOOST!

I have brand new stock replacement turbos with the upgraded wastegate components and the car was rattling like crazy. I went into the JB4 FUD options (click on the "bits" tab under user adjustments) and there was an option for "alternative wastegate position" which set the FUD to 128. I went to setting 10 on the speedo and set the RPM setting to 5 and the rattle is gone. Boost response is great too.

I think the jb4 settings just needed to be tweaked.
