COSTCO Gift Card - No Membership Required

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I have a $250 and $500 Costco gift card I would like to sell for face value.

This obviously isn't a deal if you have a membership already, but if you DON'T, it's nice because you do not need a membership if you're using their gift card.

If interested please PM me.

Thanks!

AR

Sorry face value firm. You're essentially getting a free membership for the life of the gift card

I'm in no rush to sell, I would eventually use these but just thought I'd sell them for no profit if anyone doesn't have a membership and wants to go there

It's a nice perk, but not on par with regular gift card discounts. Average is about 25%.

GLWS though.

Regular gift card discounts exist because there's no membership associated with the respective merchants. Costco has a membership fee of $110 annually. If you use a gift card you don't need to pay said fee so in essence you're getting more than 25% off if you do the math

That's why these sell for full value (or even above full value) on eBay

it's only 55 for a single household. 110 is for business .... not trying to thorw off your sale but just throwing that out there

He's basically selling a membership to Costco and a gift card all in one. Your saving 110 bucks possibly more. GLWS! Salaam.

Looks like the membership comes free with the gift card so he doesn't have to pay anything additional on top. And costco membership cost $50 per year.

Free membership from these gift card may be coming to a end:

Another Non-Member With Costco Gift Card Encounters Resistance

It’s not a well-known trick, but we’ve written before about how it’s possible to shop at Costco without a membership as long as you have a member purchase a gift card for you. But maybe this loophole is closing. A few months ago, one reader reported being turned away at the door, even with the Cash Card in hand. Stephen reports that he was allowed to enter the store, but was told that he couldn’t make purchases without being a card-carrying member. They let him do it just this once. But allegedly never again.

This exceptional story was back in 6/2012, I know a lot of people who do this today without any issues & Costco corporate policy expressly allows this

Here's their policy about gift cards:

"You must be a Costco member to purchase or reload Costco Cash Cards. Members and non-members may use the cash cards to shop at any Costco location in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and online at Costco.com or on Costco.ca. Costco Cash balances may be used toward membership or merchandise."

Uh but no....a membership to costco isnt 110 like already stated...its about 50.

GLWS op but id be surprised if you get face or over face. Im pretty sure anyone that has a costco in their area also knows people that shop at costco and could just ask them to get them a gift card for cost.
