headlight problems

Hey guys so I've been ongoing issues with a bi-xenon headlight on my 2008 e92.
So initially my wheel well liner dismantled itself and water from the tire i guess got in the headlight at the ballast area and burnt that out. Like it was bad when I took the ballast out it was full of water. So I replaced that with one from top gear solutions great pricing I have to say! I also replaced the xenon bulb. BTW the angel eye was fine.

So then after a while I noticed I was still getting condensation in the light, or it was a shitty aftermarket bulb from mirimoto and that died. It liked to flash and delay when I initially turned the lights on.
So now I replaced that with a nicer bulb.

Now I am having issues where sometimes the headlight turns on and for a second flashes out then intermittently turns off and on. But sometimes it stays on
When looking at the bulb color when it does work it looks nice and white, I know when these bulbs start to die they go purpleish. btw I still sometimes have condensation but not as bad anymore.

Do you think this is a ballast or in BMW terms the Igniter? or maybe need a new wire from ballast to bulb?

2007 E92

Im having about same problem.... When I turn the lights on headlight goes on and off for about 4 or 5 times and then it stays on (driver side only), I also see that this side has less light than the other....
I replaced the bulb (about $100) nothing happened, replaced the ballast and nothing, it stills doing the same..... Did you fix your problem? I have no idea what this can be

Did you replace part number 63127189312 ("Electronics box ALC uncoded") or 63126948180 ("CONTROL UNIT XENON LIGHT")?

And have you tried pulling fault codes off of your FRM using INPA or ISTA/D?

I have the same problem on the driver side of my 2008 E92 coupe. I just replaced the bulb and had no change. I took the ballast off (the box below the light, not the igniter) and it looked corroded and there was some water. Im guessing this is the problem, but the wiring doesnt look great either. Should I replace all the wiring going into the ballast when I replace it?

hey I would first say do you get water in your headlight, if so you need to fix that first. Then I would go and clean all connections and put a new ballast in. Make sure your fender liner is in good shape also as you wheel could throw water right at the ballast. I have a brand new ballast still sealed up in packaging if you want it. I sold my car so I no longer need it

Most of the condensation problems usually tie with the back cover on the headlight housing.
