Air lift suspension knocking??

Recently had air lift performance kit fitted on 2006 bmw e90

There is a knocking coming from front right when travelling over small bumps in the road. If the air bag is inflated it is worse than being deflated ?

Help?!

Possible inner tire rub within the fender?

I had the same thing. In fact it has recently come back. The fix is easy: it is the top nut of the shock which sits right under the damping adjuster.

Move strut brace, get adjuster knob out, tighten the main shock nut. Do both sides and hopefully you should be fine after this.

Mine has come back after about a month so I will have to repeat it. I hope it stays fixed this time though...

Update on my noise that came back:

Top nuts are still tight so it's not them after all. I replaced the droplinks about a month ago so will have to check on them as they are probably the cause of the new knocking noise.
