Hitting the Dyno!
So there is a Dyno special at the local performance shop where you can get 2 pulls with AFRs for $25! Needless to say I am taking them up on their special offer tomorrow at 2pm.
My question is should I do a base line and a Map 5(JB4) or just do both on Map 5? Also, I kind of want to do an E85 mix but I won't be running E85 mix in the car often and think just Map 5 on 93 would give me a more accurate number. |

A baseline is always a good choice because it gives you YOUR car's performance gains and not just a number that you can't really compare to other people's Dynos

I ran map 5 on the dyno and came out shitty number. According to Mike map 5 very sensitive. If I can do it again I will run map 2 instead. I been run map 5 on the street and very responsive compare to map 2.

Mike has mentioned before that map 5 is not for dyno as for it is more for road driving n it's always relearning n re calibrating n will not give good numbers on dyno. Stick to map 2 or 7

I believe there's a dyno primer somewhere on n54tech. Also, it's a good idea to get in touch with Terry to see if there are any finer points you should follow. If you have an auto, make sure the dyno operator doesn't kick you down a gear during testing.
I'm anxious to see some good/accurate results, not marred by dyno issues. Good luck OP. |

Here's the link to the dyno prepare.
http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=488 Also be glad it's only $25 a pull. I pay 160$ plus tax for 4 pulls at http://www.cbrdspeedfactory.com/ in my area.

Interesting, so Map 2 sounds like the way to go. I did see the thread about map5 putting down low numbers. I'll have to see if I can get 2 more pulls for another $25 or not lol
It is a 6MT so is 4th the gear to run in? |

For $25 is cheap, just dyno my car this past Sunday for $50 2 pulls. Also map 5 put down only 299 ;( I am running JB4, BMS intake, AR DP 20% mixed E98. Car pull hella strong on the street though. Fuck up on the dyno.

Mine was 241 AWHP / 255 Tq Baseline on a mustang dyno ... Then after my mods same day and dyno it was up to 310 AWHP / 382 Tq ... so you can add the usual 20% for dynojet numbers plus the power robbing xdrive - she's not a dyno queen but she hauls ass...
