You would be overpaying if they charge anything over 1hr/$120 labor. I think even $120 is too high.

Anyone know how this exhaust compares with the SS cat back system? I know it is about a 800 difference in price from this system to SS.

SuperSprint for NA is pretty badass - sound is amazing.
and pair that with the SS headers...emm.
not street legal in many cities but who cares - great sound.

So SS compared to BMW what is the running verdict?

The SS muffler is lighter but the mid pipes are a little heaver as they run a X instead of single 3 inch.

Did SS just come out with their exhaust as if you search for SS all you find is 335 exhaust.

800 difference between them. =(

try this link if that 320 doesn't do it for you.

supersprint exhausts are rare on this forum.
To me, most of the NA exhaust out there
average the same gains + or - some.

Firstly great looking exhaust bud. Wondered if you guys can confirm this for me, will the performance exhaust for the 330i fit the 325i N53? As i went to get mine fit this morning and the dealership said that it wouldnt work as the 325i isnt equipped with the negative pressure valve. They said it could be fitted blah blah blah but it woulnt give any performance gains.

To be honest half way through i lost track of what he was saying but i just wanted to check this with you guys. Is it as simple as not connecting the pressue valve? So basically all your getting is a cosmetic improvement

the exhaust will yield minimal gains.
bmw states 5hp 3ft-lbs of torque.

http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...ustSystem.aspx

yes it's a cosmetic sound improvement.
but paired with other performance mods it'll all add up in
gains and better response.

Frank, you're review convinced me to get one too, so I think I'm going for it, but does anyone know if we go to a bmw dealer to install the exhaust, do we get a special note or receipt saying that it was installed professionally by a bmw certified technician? I mean, its just for warranty purposes. Did anyone install it through the dealer to clarify.

I think it will be fine because it's from BMW. Also the dealer will charge you way too much. Have LTBMW install it. I'm going there when I get mine.

I'm sure they will give you an invoice of how much they charged and what they did, so you could use this as proof that they installed it.

I vote BMW PE as well. Check out my post on the PE. There is a video clip on page 2. This was right after it was installed. It has about 2k miles on it now and still sounds great!

I paid my local muffler shop $60.00 to install it but went back the next day as the tips were sticking out way too far and had them shortened for another $30.00

I am so happy I had them shortened as it looked ugly before. I have before and after photos on the link as well.

Not only should it "still" sound great, but the sound should have improved over the miles.
