Any E9x owners near LA play golf or like golfing?

I'm a young player who loves golf, it's a great hobby/sport to get into while you're young and is a game you can play well into your 70-80s if you are healthy. Just wondering if anybody here in the socal/los angeles area play golf and would possibly like to get together for maybe hitting the range?

P.S. Golf is not a sissy/boring sport. Well I don't care to watch the pro play until they get to the last finsihing holes... But other than that, as a spectator sport its but once one knows how to play with backspin, forward spin, and draws and fades, this sport really starts to get interesting and competitive! And on top of that, who wouldn't enjoy spending some off time with some friends, beers, (maybe cigars) and smell of fresh grass every once in awhile?

It's a fun sport. Just picked it up this month and been at the range non stop. I thought it would be a great tool for networking and client build process after law school.

I recently bought a set of clubs, haven't had the chance to get them fitted yet. I also am trying to get into the game for networking purposes and such. I'd be down for some range time so I can finally get the ball farther than 50 yards haha.

I think we have a good amount to plan a weekend get together, maybe the 3rd or 10th of august? at wilson/harding or scholl canyon?

if you don't have clubs, maybe some of the members can bring a few thats laying around, ones that you dont mind being hit around. i have a few graphite clubs i can bring. OH for the beginners, if you serious about it, invest in some good shoes and also a decent golf glove. some need it, some dont. i prefer it.

LOL i meant the range!!! I didn't want to pressure anyone into playing the courses first, and I believe we have some beginners so I also didn't want the semi-pros having to play with us newbies

i don't know if you are being serious, but if you aren't ill just tell you in one sentence - No it is not only for the rich. - if you are being serious, continue reading!

no no no, no way bro. when you first start it can or doesn't have to take a lot of money to start. One can play at decent courses during twilight hours and pay less than half the price and at the end of the day, you are still playing at a course others have paid in full. There are ways to be thrifty while enjoying the hobbies you like.

and sure, playing at some courses might be wayy too expensive for you (and me) but we can still enjoy it at other courses that aren't maintained as well as the expensive courses.. but hey... we aren't practicing for the PGA right?

golf is not only for the rich, golf is for everyone

golf equipment is just like tools for a the garage. one does not buy every tool one might need for the garage all at once. one slowly buys tools and equipment and gradually fills the garage, or in this case, the golf bag.

I see golf as an investment into myself in many different ways.

1. it's a hobby and everyone needs a hobby to maintain mental well-being.

2. i'm not indoors all the time and i get some "fresh-air" and get to step on grass for being someone who lives in the city.

3. it's a sport i can play till i can't move my joints anymore.

4. you can later play with your family, making a bonding experience.

5. it's a relaxed yet exercise worthy activity for both men and women (when walking, no carts).

6. when out in the field, it's a place that can be called a home away from home.

7. etc etc etc.
