Monaco vs. Black Sapphire

So I just sold my Black Sapphire Coupe and every time I washed it I wanted to drive it into the river. It seems like no matter what I did there were always swirls on it when I washed it, I found the PERFECT sedan the only thing is that it's Monaco Blue and i'm worried it's going to be the same headache Black Sapphire was. I would wait, but it's so hard to find a manual sedan with navi, what do you guys think? Is this color really sensitive such as Black Sapphire? My other option is Montego, but not sure if I like the brightness of that...

Custom-order your car. Why compromise when the car's this expensive?

Oh, and Montego is a very nice color. This is for you to decide, though.

Yes, Monaco is basically the same as black for upkeep.

I'm buying used, the options are:
Both a 6MT
07 sedan montego on terra w/ dark burl, CA, NAVI, Prem/Sport 35k miles.
07 sedan Monaco on black w/ aluminum, Navi, sport, spem, 32k miles.

Both Cost around $32k, both at same dealer, both CPO'd.

Monaco is about as bad as black for showing dirt and paint imperfections.

Have monaco blue on my car. Can see swirl marks after car is washed too. Dirt shows less than black though.

I have a JB E46 and a Monanco E90 sedan. Monaco is not as sensitive or swirl prone as JB. I hand wash both so I would notice. It does have the other characteristics of blacks though as it does show dirt quicker and would need a good detail with paint correction and seal as often. I personally like the color as it's sublte so I can sneak around over the speed limit without sticking out too much IMO.

But the OP presented it as a possible option, so they are picking it.

I would personally choose Montego. If my CPO was not in SGM then I would have sat around and waited for a Montego Blue.

Monaco is going to prove just as difficult as BS. Both serioulsy dark, metallic, and swirly. Montego sticks out more, but is a color with more character. Seems like that model has more options, too.

ok well i drove the montego today and I love the 6MT and I love the terra interior (thought it was saddle) but im still not sure about that bright blue color...ugh I wish it was easier. Its so hard to find a 6MT in a sedan so im thinking i should just go with it and learn to like it. idk silver or white would be nice though so I might just wait it out...its hard living without a 335i lol

honestly, I think any dark color is going to be no good. I would go for a lighter color, light alpine white or silver if swirls piss you off. My car is actually Sonora Metallic, a coppery-goldish color that looks awful in pictures but damn good in person, and as a bonus, it hides dirt and swirls like no other. I don't think you can get a 335i in that color though.
