Update: Should have a review up by tomorrow afternoon with some pretty good sound quality of the VRSF catback without catless DP's. Thanks!

In for vids! My car is completely stock but I've been interested in an exhaust mod for a while. Just want a bit more noise!

Had some trouble with install. Bolts weren't long enough to go through the spacers as well as bracket so had to order parts. Will be all done tomorrow. Have it all on right now but it's just vibrating against the metal because I don't have the spacers on yet. As far as sound, it's not as loud as I was hoping and definitely not louder than the BMW performance exhaust. The only different I've noticed so far is a little deeper tone and a deeper cold start. Not sure if adjusting the exhaust tomorrow by adding spacers will make a difference.

also getting a high pitched buzz at anything under 3k rpm that will literally drive you crazy driving just a mile with it. Hopefully the adjustment of the exhaust fixes it.

Fixed it. All bolted up correctly now and the whine was from vacuum plug not being sealed up. Exhaust is quite quiet in all aspects and the only real difference I can say is that cold start is deeper and louder but once warmed up I would just say it's a small rumble of a difference throughout the rev range. Was really hoping I was not going to have to go catless or do any other mods besides a cat back. Will see if breaking the exhaust in makes a difference

EDIT: should have video up sometime soon

Glad all the issues turned out to be from the install and not the exhaust itself.
If you are going to use it with stock DP, it will be one of the quieter options
This exhaust is meant to be used with catless downpipes

Is there any way I could put on downpipes without needing a tune?

you could use the DP and ignore the check engine light or get a jb4 and don't use any of its maps
that being said it's s complete waste not to tune your car with the kind of power it is capable of making

You're really sacrificing a ton of power without a tune but you can install a catless downpipe on a N55 without a tune or check engine light now that there is an o2 fix. I'd just get a flash tune that deletes your CEL.

If you're worried about the exact map required for flash tuning, a piggyback like the JB4 is a good alternative.

Let's say I went Cobb and downpipes. Would there be a tune to support then lone catless downpipes or would I need other mods such as CP intake etc. I've been FBO and it was a hassle to maintain :/

A CP and intake don't require maintenance

Cobb does have a downpipe/intake tune that will delete your CEL.

No need for extra mods, CObb has maps for the cars stock all the way to FBO

I just have warranty for another 45k miles and don't want to have any trouble with other mods besides an exhaust... Until I find a service advisor who is cool with mods I'll try and stick to just exhaust

Interesting ... Most of our customers with PE and catless downpipes complained about drone with the PE

It's fair to say peoples interpretation of loud, quiet, drone, ETC is different for everyone.

Tiago did you guys ever make a race version of the exhaust? I know there were rumours flying around over a year ago.
If not would you be willing to sell the exhaust sections without the muffler?
