CD73 Pixels Fade in the Heat

Good evening!

I was doing some reading on this issue, as it's gotten quite hot down here in SoCal, and I wonder if anyone has an answer. I have the fairly common issue where my radio display fades out, and is heat sensitive. It seems like the consensus is that the display needs to be replaced. What I haven't seen an answer for, however is this:

Even when my display is faded out due to the heat, if I go into diagnostic mode and do the display test, all of the pixels light up as they should. This makes me think that it's not actually the display, but some other issue.

Does anyone have suggestions, or maybe something I missed where someone found out why? Any ideas would be great!

I'll have to search the threads and see if I can find the one for you, but I remember reading the reason why in ONE for them. If I remember correctly, it was posted sometime in 2011.

If you could find it, I would be very appreciative. I did another search and still haven't found anything on it.

Thanks man, I appreciate the post, however, these are for replacing the actual display. I'm wondering if there's another option, as it seems as though the display pixels are capable of working fine.
