The IC is currently being mounted. Will test it tonight!

Unfortunately, the first possible day for my tuner to make the next appoint and do the dyno is 08/03, because I will also have the DPF removed and this will take some time.
I hope I will have some results tonight however. One of my buddies has a E36 M3.2 @ 360HP/400NM. He is slightly faster than me, so it shouldn't be too difficult to see if there is any improvement (without a remap).

It's mounted!

First results:
It's slightly faster than before, with the software still not adapted to the IC, BUT I knew that already in the beginning. My buddy now really has a hard time passing me!

Now i'll have to to wait one month for the custom remap to get get the best out of it.
Manual is very clear, however, still took around 2 hours to mount.

I'll make some video's now for you guys.

Congratulations !

It seems that you're the first worldwide to post some results about this Wagner intercooler even if it's butt results.

I think that you'll feel more power after you remove the dpf and remap, as the new map will increase the turbo pressure.

What about turbo lag? Is you car as responsive as before the upgrade?

Here's the post from the member who worked directly with Wagner to make this happen: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...7&postcount=74

Thanks!

Don't feel any turbo lag, still feels very responsive.
But of course, it's running without adjusting the software. So I don't expect it to run better than before at this moment. However, it does run a little better now, but of course not much. (as expected).

I'm really looking forward to the DPF remove and remap.

Nobody got an upgraded transmission or LSD here in Belgium, Netherlands, UK, Germany, France......or not even talking about it!

And all 335D's Stage 2 are running 710 to 750 NM.
No problems so far.

And this is Belgian's NR.1 automotive engineer..so I'm sure he's not taking any risks. I already asked if it's safe to be sure though.

It'll be too hard to get all that power and torque to the ground without an LSD.

Honestly don't know..like I said, no one is talking about that matter here.

Didn't even know there were other LSD's out there before I came on this forum.

They (and not only BR) have tuned a massive amount of 335D's, but I've never heard of any problems at all..

Can you show me some examples of such LSD's?

Nevermind the last question, just noticed your LSD topic.
We'll see how much he will get out of my car with the DPF Remove, IC and second remap.

Hi friends of the forum, i also have a 35d machine and im wondering if it really benefits ours cars this wagner intercooler or its just like the person from Evolve that said that if an intercooler only makes the air cooler but obliges the turbos to work with more preasure its not a good intercooler.

Please the ones that bought the wagner intercooler give us your opinion.

Thanks again,

PM

Exactly like that...with a stock car, but the situation changes alot if you get it tuned. The reason for that is, that turbo pressures are much higher than with stock so temperatures inside the turbo will rise also. That's where you need lower intake temperatures (before turbo) and also with repeatetly done pulls you will keep intake temperatures (after turbo) more stable.

* EDIT * cooler air is denser so has more oxygen= more horsepower with the same turbo revs. So turbo produces more horsepower with less stress to it * EDIT *

Intake temperature (after turbo) situation is also present with stock car (of course), but it's not so significant.

If the replacement cooler air flow is at least as goog as the original, but cooles temperatures better, it has benefits. Of course if it also flows better than stock cooler, even better.
