I don't think there were any other ships headed to PH for about a week before the P. Leader.

I ordered my car on 4/23. It sat at the port for ~10 days waiting for a vessel.

exactly. it appears as though shipments to the west coast are not as frequent as the east coast. maybe the vessels are larger to make up for this. anyway, less than a month to wait.

According to another forum, Phoenix Leader is due at the canal entrance on May 31 and will transit Jun 3.

Yep that's the way I'm comprehending it too.The average waiting time for canal transit is 48-72 hrs according to the Boyd site.

there is some waiting in line. alsao it must take a day or two just to go thru. speeds are much lower and then there are the locks. If you look at Gatun locks you can see ships lined up to the east.

not since 10 this morning . but looking at other ships going from Panama to Hueneme PL could be there by the end of this week!
