Cost to maintain 335xi

Hi all,

I have a 07 335xi CPO car. Absolutely love the car !!! Only have 60,000 miles on her. The CPO is do to run out this time next year. I have never had to service the car myself.

Therefore I would like some advise or input on maintaining the car myself because it seems costly via BMW.

I would say I am a pretty decent mechanic with general maintenance on all of my other cars/trucks prior to this one.

Lastly, Should I keep it or Trade it in on a newer CPO

General / Thoughts / Comments

Thanks in advance

L.J.

I would see if the car comes with full maintence/service history. When was the coil packs, fuel pump replaced? Were the turbos ever replaced? These cars have been hit or miss imo, the coil packs, spark plugs usually go, can you buy more warranty? Maintenance you can DIY or go to an Indy. It is still a BMW so crap is still gonna go wrong and it's still going to be expensive. 335's are not as reliable as NA car. Also water pumps in these cars always go at 50-60K and is a bitch to replace, check if this has been taken care of.

WTY

I was in the same boat when I got my 335. Bottom line in Carchex.com, I got a full coverage 100k 4yr for 2k and set it up on payments. Best part is that it is transferrable to new owner.

It was a dealer before I bought it, so technically I am the only owner. Anything and everything has been done by BMW. The Water pump has never been replaced nor the coil pack. The turbo was serviced but not replaced about 5,000 miles ago.

Can not buy any more warranty through BMW. But ill will check in the Carceck website

Thanks everyone !!!
