I am very disappointed.
Its no where near different or pretty enough.

For heavens sake BMW just put the coupe front and rear on it, and
if you can only do one make it the front which has never got better with
familiarity.

New EU Regs dictate larger side view mirrors. I am not sure about all the specifics, but you will start seeing this on a variety of european cars in the next few years.

This is correct. Due to new pedestrian safety laws in Europe, the design of bumpers and hoods are also effected.

This is the M3 Sedan - I'm assuming the facelift to the e90 for 2009 - atleast the front shape, lights and grill will be somewhat similar to this styling. There are more pictures at the link.

the pictures are for e90 facelift not the M3. If you look closely, the front area will look like M3/e92. it will get bigger side mirrors (euro new regulations). Tail lights look to be the same though!

As I always says, we just have to wait and see until the camo comes off to see how it really looks

I hate to break it to you guys but, the E90 is NOT getting the headlights from the E92....only the inner background will be a bit different, with CELIS LED lights integrated into the DRLs.

The mirrors on the new C300 are big too. That sucks if the e90's really getting those Mickey Mouse ears.

^ man those cars look good, too bad they're slow (minus the AMG)...

I hope the taillights are a little different and LED's wouldnt hurt. I'm still undecided between a 135i or a face-lifted 335i or face-lifted 335xi. I'd love it if they offered a ZHP package...

As for the big mirrors, well, if its an e-90, than any e90 mirros should be swap-able, easy fix...

It's black masking tape on the trunk-embeded light part. How can you not see it guys or you are all joking around? Cuz yes, it looks like a frigin jetta otherwise. but the tape is so visible its no way gonna be anything other then what it is, except perhaps different pattern or something.

Oh, and European rules on pedestrian protection are really gonna be finalized by 2010 or 2012 so BMWs design won't be affected much by it at least on this car. It is seen at least to me here, from the fact that the hood line remains as low or visibly as low as on pre facelift car. The rules basically force the hood line to be some inches higher like you see on new Ford Mondeo. But don't think BMW is jumping to adopting to any rules that haven't been finalized.

from what I read, the facelift car will have most changes take place in interior anyway.
