Strange tire wear help!

ok so i just put my winter wheels on. And i had awful tire noise from my rims. I bought the tires brand new. And this is how they wore. What could cause wear like this its hard to see but the inside of the tires are wavy and uneven. But only the inside. But the tread is worn equally on inside and outside other than the waves. All 4 tires are like this im thinking maybe i got defective tires?
Any ideas?

Improper toe could cause cupping like that.

it could help not make it worse... if you keep driving with it out of alignment the wear will only get worse.

Looks like it's rubbing on something coz of the track on pic 1. Make sure the toe is zero.

It can't be suspension related rubbing since the wear is not near or at the wall. Have the toe reset to zero.

they would do the toe when i have an alignment done correct? Think the tires will be okay if the toe gets set to 0 or do i need to get new tires.

It could be a combination of two things. Worn suspension components such as shocks or the alignment needs to be checked. If shocks need to be replaced make sure alignment gets checked after. If you fix that and you keep driving on them eventually the cupping will go away as the tire wears down.

I would replace shocks when there is a need to replace them. Too bouncy and or floating feeling or its leaking fluid. No reason to change them just because its the mileage. I would check bushings etc to see whats going on.

I'd recommend taking your car to a suspension specific shop for both an alignment, and to check to see if any bushings/suspension components need to be replaced.

Okay I'm still having an issue with this. Yes I know I need to get an alignment done which I will. But still have awful wear and road noise. But my winter wheels which r stock 16s are worn perfectly even and have no defects and are quiet. Now i have no problem buying new tires for my wheels and going getting alignment done etc. But don't want to do that and have something else be causing this and it happen again. The rims are 18x8 et40 squared with 73.1 center bore. I'm running hub rings 73.1-72.56 and I'm running 10 mm spacers in front and 20 mm in rear. Could the rim or offset be causing this???

I'm starting think I got a bad batch of tires or something like that.

The wheel sizing does not affect the tire wear.

Okay didn't think so. So I'm leaning towards bad tires. Because if it was suspension related it would happened to my other wheels and tires as well.

Well, not necessarily. If the other three corners are fine, just that one is messed up, the other three probably wouldn't show any indication of irregular wear.

not sure what you mean there. All of 4 of the tires are worn like that but 1 is worse than the others. What would you suggest doing. I dont really have any good shops i that deal with bmw's in this area at all. Would you suggest getting new tires having those mounted and balanced and then having them align it? I just dont want to buy new tires and have them wear like this again or something like that.

Ohhh I thought you were making the assumption that it was a bad tire and ruled out suspensoin because the other tires WEREN'T showing irregular wear. I would still recommend taking your car in for an inspection and an alignment though, as it's going to be cheaper than buying new rubber altogether.
