This article is funny BTW where the 305hp TL is 0.5sec slower than an N52 328i (of course with 230hp) in 0-60. 75hp "advantage" and its slower.

Actually the E36 M3 and E90 328i are very close in terms of straight line acceleration. Here is some food for thought:

Won't let me post image for E90 328i so here is the link:
http://media.caranddriver.com/files/...powertrain.pdf

0-60 5.9
0-100 16.1
0-120 24.9
1/4 mile 14.6 @ 96 MPH

yeah everything is relative and memories are short. A new v6 honda accord would probably overpower, out-brake and out-handle many of the classic muscle cars and probably give the E90 328i a run, at least in a straight line.

plus, the E90 328i is getting long in the tooth and is somewhat overshadowed by newer performance minded-offerings. Still, it has enough power to be enjoyable and better braking and handling than most cars.

thanks for all the advice guys! As of right now im just spending my money making it look nice already got the blacked out grill replacement, as well as blacked out Angel headlights. I am looking into taillights right now and am getting 5% tint all the way around. (whether or not it is legal in california i am unaware of yet). Today i will be looking into suspension and 19" wheels and new tires. If you guys would like to recommend me some brands that'd be great. I know this is not the suspension nor wheels section but it was mentioned often in here so i figure i would throw it out

On suspension, you would do well to read some threads in the suspension forum. There's a wide range of cost/capability. I'm pretty conservative and went with the BMW Performance Suspension.

That would be as good as a 328 will get with the reliability of a N/A engine
this!

I have 19's and I got kw street comforts. I ended up going 1.8 in rear and 1.5 in the front and had to do a fender role to make them not rub.

Gratz on your new car!

I'm in the same boat as you so here would be my (money is not an issue list of upgrades as you stated) of course money is an issue which is why I don't drive a Ferrari FF

Ok in no particular order

1. Ultra light weight forged 18inch rims
2. Some super sports maybe 245 in the front 275 in back
3. Complete suspension overhaul, strut bar, etc etc
4. Light weight recaro seats up front (sport stock ones weigh like 70 pounds each I'm guessing)
5. Supersprint headers
6. Laptorr exhaust
7. AA tune off road option
8. 3.2 stroker kit
9. Performance intake combined with euro intake (money haha)
10. Some scoops upfront
11. Carbon fiber hood and trunk
12. Rear seat delete with anti roll bars (if serious)
13. Light weight battery
14. LSD
15. Light weight lugnuts
16. Performance driving school
17. BBK
18. 6sp manual upgrade short throw with performance clutch

And probably other stuff I am forgetting, but that would be my ultimate list. At least 340 HP, it would kill any lightly modded 335i, and maybe a stock M3 on the track (maybe).

With enough money any car will be fast, I plan on doing a couple of these things, but most of all I just want this car to last until 2015 lots of awesome cars coming out that year!!!!

Good luck with your car!

PS Id love to see the Saab race 30-70 against all the cars on the list I bet it would win in second gear haha sorry big Saab fan
