Clayed Wood Trim...Worked
The wood trim in my interior has always had a rough/semi-dirty feeling, despite cleaning it before. Seeing as it sort of reminded me of the rough feeling of a painted surface before claying it, I decided to take a dime sized piece of my clay bar, soak the clay in the mix of degreaser/water that I keep in my garage, and run it over my trim.
It worked so well that I decided to do all of my wood trim with it. It feels so smooth/glass-like even. If you're having trouble with it, maybe this is worth a shot for you. Cheers. |

Yeah, there's clear coat on the trim. Careful however, the rest of the dashboard is painted with a latex paint that is relatively easy to peel/damage when rubbing it.
