flooring it from a light with another car is called racing.
if it was only you flooring it from a light that would be called exhibition of speed.

I doubt you'll get a ticket in the mail. You can just say you loan out your car to friends and family to drive. And you dont know who was driving it that night. Simple as that.

Be glad you guys didnt hurt someone else because of your stupidity. And if someone wouldve been killed, you or your friend could be charged for man slaughter. Be a little smart before doing such stupid things. Either do it at 1 or 2am or do it in a industrial area.

i dont think we floored it that badly though. i stepped half way and just increased from there. his car is a 545i with dinan intake and exhaust so his car went a bit faster. our rpms shifted at 4k or maybe 5k. so i dont think we're really racing? we cant really hurt or kill other people by going to 50 mph

Exactly. You can be arrested for speed racing even if you don't go above the speed limit. Count your blessings because speed contesting is worst than DUI now. I learned my lesson. I stay doing 40/80 on streets and highways. Always get revved at too, I just yawn at them.

You need to take a Physics course for real for real. It doesn't work like addition and subtraction math, I know you did the 50-40 = 10 in your head, but that's far from the truth.

I know you're young, just take the L and move on. Learn from it and move on.

And to answer your question...I have no idea. Maybe the cop had a good day and will forget about it, maybe not. All I know is that from my incident, in which it wasn't even my fault where a Civic was revving at me, taking off and slow down and waiting for me as I drove continuous 45 MPH....I spent the night in the cell. It cost me ~$10,000 in attorney fee, insurance was ~$7,000 a year under my mom's name for 3 years...(recently went down to $2,000 a year since my case's been thrown out), car impounded for a month, DUI and HAM program, probation for 6 months with restricted license. I just got lucky that my attorney knew the head DA personally and avoided me jail time.

the situation was that my friend and i went to 50 and a cop was behind us. i braked first so i was the slower one... i pulled over and then he pulled behind me. he probably copied down my license plate and then went to go find my friend.

Hi, please keep my name out of your mouth and we can keep it the same, _________. How do you know my name? I don't recall ever sharing it with you. Very weird to see someone mentioning my real name that I have never even met. We are certainly not on a first name basis.

Also please reread ra2fanatic's post. I don't think you understood what was written since you felt quoting me was a legitimate response.

Read slower (or learn to read if that is your situation, I dunno)
