Replaced my M5 daily driver with....
.....325d M Sport Toring Manaul and what a replacement!
What a fantastic car and definately a suitable replacement for the M5 and after 5 days i am extremely pleased with her. I had planned to get a 123d, but the one i found had front end damage and the 325d popped up and a deal was done. Has anyone done a short shift change to the 325d's using BMW parts? There is no direct performance kit, but will others work as it is a little loose, not bad, but i like no movement when in gear. I think rear darkline kit, performance grille and tints, with a set of performance side skirts and wheels and she will be perfect! As well as the DPF replacement and remap! |

How do you find the performance compared to the M5?

The performance in the 325d is 'easier' although you can rev to 5k, you don't need to. The M5 once going is quick when above 4k.
The 325d is just a better alround driving car.

I did fancy a 123d as i was looking for performance, but economy when needed, well the other way round really. The 123d was found to have front end damage, so put a holt to the purchase of it. The 325d just popped up, was an M Sport (need the supportive seats) in manual which is hard to find and to be honest while looking at it sitting outside my unit i am glad the 123d had damage as i do like the look for the touring.

It must feel much more luxurious and toy encrusted than the E34 M5?
Remap is the way forward for all turbo BMW's |

Nice Car. Welcome to this forum mate.
I recognize that name as a website. So you dont have to go to 'stealers' to buy performance parts for your car.

I will be getting rid of the DPF and have been told I could get 270 PHP, from the guys in Glasgow who sell the flash and replacement pipe.
