re-code car NOT at BMW though

i'm looking to get cruise fitted my self which is not a problem, easily find the parts. however as previous threads have mentioned the car needs to be re-coded. i've called 3 or 4 dealers and the price is around the £200 mark.

has anyone had their car re-coded by an independant, if so general cost and contact info.

bump, no had a re-code done at an independant?

It would be hard for an independent shop to get the software and hardware from bmw needed to reprogram the car. I would have the dealer do it.
