My radio unit was replaced recently with a newer version (with chrome accented knobs & everything! Fancy schmancy! ), but I've noticed a new symbol with the bluetooth function on the head unit. Sometimes I'll have my normal phone symbol when on a call, and other times it looks like a symbol for the car's sharkfin. The odd thing is I don't have any snap in adapters that would be able to use that function. Why am I seeing that symbol?

My 2006 radio & bluetooth manual is useless obviously, as the unit was replaced with a more recent type. I can't find a downloadable radio/bluetooth manual online, only the main owner's manual.

Also, I now get a brief audio pause when selecting between Logic 7 settings - Music & Cinema. Is that normal?

Nope, it's not a triangle. It actually looks like the back end of the car.

Okay, I was finally able to capture the mysterious "car with antenna" symbol located on my radio display to the left of the signal bars. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures. Could anyone tell me what it means? As I mentioned, my radio was replaced with a more current unit, and I never saw this before on my old one. Plus I don't have any adapters.

Also, does anyone know if it is normal to have an audio pause when toggling between Logic 7 modes (Cinema & Music)? Thank you!

I know! I never thought I'd win the "Stump E90Post Community" award! Never thought that would happen! I didn't really think to call the dealership for something like that, as I always thought that people on here tend to know pretty much everything.

It seems to show up at random times. Usually I get the one with the phone icon. I don't remember seeing it when I had my original radio unit. Any ideas?

Do either one of you know the answer to my other question about the pause when switching on and off the Logic 7 system? Is it normal?

Yes.

Both modes are rather useless IMHO. This is not the way stereo recordings were made, nor should they be played back that way.

Off topic, since I don't have an answer for you, How did you go about getting a newer head unit? I ask because when I swapped out my factory radio for an aftermarket one, the factory one mysteriously ended up under my my tires when I moved the car out of the garage. So it kinda got crushed.

I had noticed that there were faded pixels in the display of my original unit when the interior of my car was hot. I took a picture of it as well just in case it didn't happen at the dealership. My SA said that there had been some issues with that and replaced the head unit without any hesitation.

No one else has seen the car icon in the head unit?
