Question StrutBar for 335xi Sedan (E90)

Is there a strut bar for our E90 xi? Looking to make my car more stable than its' already is at turn and high maneuver change lanes. With all the increase power my car has now, I'm looking to make it safer at turns. Brakes seems to hold up fine coming from a high speed.

this should really be in the XI section or Suspension section, but I did a quick search and this thread might answer your question:

Im sure you can find other threads that discuss this. Good Luck

Hey bro, he was looking for a strut bar not sway but I understand why you posted. OP was looking for better handling, but cost wise, I think its more than he would like to spend.

Hey bro, PM Frank@M-ForceDesign...he'll take care of you. I believe they have one that will fit the xi's. At least that is what he told me before Christmas. Hope that helps!

Thanks. My car handles great stock. Just need a strutbar up top to handle better on high speed maneuvers. I would like to change suspension, but its a lease so don't want to put more $ in this.

Strut bar really doesn't do much at all unless you are tracking the car, so this would be useless buy for the OP

That's why I suggested sway bars, but not sure if that will help the OP much, specially a lease..

I would recommend just getting some sport springs and use your OEM shocks which should last you till your lease is up, and your golden with handling...
Lowering your center of gravity will make it handle like a go kart and create less roll on turns and thats what your looking for correct?

Can't go wrong with these...cost about the same as strut bar only thing is you have to pay for suspension install and taking them out when lease is up...

Strut 'bar' = brace that stiffens the chassis. Strut brace has no effect on body roll. Sway bars affect roll. But roll is not bad for handling. Messing with sway bars on an xi is not a good idea. Lowering springs are also usually not a good idea by themselves. I would suggest:

1) posting this thread in the correct forum (hence my moving it...)
2) contacting vendors that can provide good advice, e.g., Harold at HP Autowerkes or Jay at Ground Control.

I respectfully disagree. The M3 strut brace makes a big difference on my car even for regular driving. The chassis is stiffer and steering and cornering is more accurate. Downside, you feel ripples and join in the freeway more, but the car is more solid over bumps and potholes.

If you are looking for handling for high speed maneuvering you'll have to start with shock and suspension replacements.

The XI forum has a few threads with some of the details you are looking for and you'll want to look up Harold and Orbs repartee on some of the other suspension bits to replace on the rear and front end. Strut brace with the OEM shocks is pointless.

i put in a helix "Cross" front strut brace on my 2008 335xi. love it and it clears the stock air box.
