I finally got it

Finally I got the BMW Performance Exhaust on my car. It really sounds better now together with the BMW Performance air intake. As NigelFan said the throttle response seems to be sharper but in general, in acceleration the car seems to be more fluid.
The look fo the 2 bigger pipes is great as well

Congrats on your new sound! Can you please tell me the part number for the muffler you fitted. I understand yours (like mine) is a 2.5 litre engine, so I am wondering if the muffler may be different to the one for the 3.0 litre engine in the USA.

Hi John I do not have the part no. here now but I will let you know within tomorrow. My car is a restyled 325i, LCI if I´m not wrong. It has a 3.0 litre engine with 218 HP. Anyway even if BMW said that it is not made for that one (otherwise it is suitable for 330i and 335i with N 54 engine - this according to catalogue - and they made another one for 4 cyl. engines as well)

My 325i has the N 53 engine.

The guys who fitted my muffler said they mounted the one foreseen for 4 cyl. engines on a 125i and they had no problems with it.

I can say that, together with the BMW Performance air intake there is a sound now and I can say that I really like it. Besides that I know there is an engine in my car now i. e. I do not only feel it, I can hear it

Will let you have that code asap OK!

Bye for now

Hi John the part No. is 18 10 0 443 580 (for 330i) N52, N53 engines
Hope this will be helpful for you. The muffler has a valve in one of the pipes which, as far as I understood, is opened by exhausts of the 330i. This valve was left open in my 325i.
Pls see enclosed data sheet (from BMW Performance catalogue)

Thanks for your help with the part number. I am still unsure if it is the right one for my car. Mine is a N52 2.5 litre engine, probably the same as what is sold in Canada, but different from the USA and also different from Europe. Some online sellers in the US show a part number ending in 581, so I will try to discover if there is a difference or not. Thanks again. John.

Cheers!

Hi John if you check the pdf file I attached you can see that on the schedule they mark the N 52 engine as well. Can´t you try to find someone in Australia who put that muffler in his car? Or someone who has experience with that stuff and could tell you if it is possibile to fit it on yours??
Glad that íf I was able to help you somehow

Hi it´s a bit difficult for me to understand why no one seem to like the M badge on the back. Personally I like it more than the usual type logo, i. e. 325i etc., which I never put on the car´s back. Personally I like the M badge a lot. At least the car is equipped with the M Sport package.
Anyway glad that you like the car in general even if I made just some small modifications.

As bmroxm5 (thank you bmroxm5 ) said rims are made by BMW Performance. 8 x 19" (front) for 225/35 and 9 x 19" (rear) for 255/30
