330i coil packs

Just had one go (no 6) on my 2010 E92.

Rang BMW services from the car and transferred the data then went home. They telephoned me back with an estimated time of arrival of a technician (about 90 minutes). The technician rang me to say he was on his way. Arrived 6 minutes after he said.

OBD confirmed fault. All 6 coils replaced there and then under warranty in 40 minutes.

Faultless, fast service and a really knowledgeable technician. Who took the time to show me how to do it for the future.

So from issue to fix in less than 3 hours on a Sunday morning. Well impressed.

That sounds like a great service! What do you mean when you say transfered the data? Is this like sending bmw fault codes via your phone?

Sounded like a bish bosh good experience! Any difference noticed in throttle response/power delivery?

Yes - surprisingly so. I would have thought I thought I would have noticed before. Now smooth and instant and the push back in the seat has returned.

Failed at 12k miles! I looked at all 6 and all had signs of arcing and overheating. 2 had distinct bends. These were Bosch mk3s.
