looks great, nice job. we share the same interest. i tried skinning my aero rear diffuser but had to seek help from cf element. should have picked something flatter for my first attempt. they did my interior trim (not the steering wheel, pedals, ebrake or shift knob) and a custom aero rear diffuser.

here's a recent pic of my interior

and my aero diffuser which nobody makes so had to have it made for me. i'll probably test the fitment this weekend.

Thanks! i appreciate it. I LOVE the blue CF ...it is so nice to have a splash of color in the car. The paddles are hidden enough that the blue is just peaking out behind the SW. I wanted something close to the color of the car...

Looks great...Glad others share my passion for CF. I just bought some used AC/Heat trim and the radio trim, but can't decide if I want to put CF on it or not. If I do and don't like it, I will just put them on Ebay....

I did my own Mtech diffuser...you are right it was not easy! I will have pics of it next week on the car. I like your diffuser... Wish I had dual exhaust...I love the look...

Love your steering wheel too! Nice job!

thanks dude. i admire you seeing it through. i tried that diffuser like 3 times and could never get it right. i guess that's how important experience is. i still have leftover resin and cf so maybe i'll do i square plate or coaster or something, lol. can't wait to see more pics of your work.

Thanks! I almost gave up on the diffuser...but refused to let it win!

You know what I started with when I started CF...just to get the hang of it?... A light switch plate! Here is a pic of it! Silver is hard to work with...you really need to paint the background of the item similar color to the silver cf...otherwise, a color may show through the weave....

if you have the resin and cf, you should make something. CF panels sell on ebay all the time...for what? I don't know! haha

I don't think so, but that is what makes us all individuals...to each their own. I like both the steering wheel because it is different and the CF with black interior.

I'm not a big fan....it is too busy for my taste. But then again, everyone has different tastes....The weave looks like CF on steroids...and is distracting to me.

I also like black piano finish...so I am working on some of that now too. I would like to eventually do some other colors in piano finish to break things up. Will post pics when I am done with my sample black piano piece. I think what I am working on will even be a deeper black than OEM piano finish...time will tell!

Originally when I bought the car I wanted a deep black trim but had to settle for aluminum. Would love to see what you come up with.

@EgorGovorun - I see what you're saying about the black on cf but you're probably the first to not like it. I agree that the carbon you're looking into is a little busy, almost like a checkered flag interior. But if it floats your boat, do it up and best of luck!

Just scrolled up to see this. The resin I used for the bottom coat is black so it doesn't show through like you suggested. You just inspired me to skin something, lol. I'm looking around house right now haha.

I am hoping what I come up with won't show fingerprints and such like the OEM piano black. I should have a sample in a few days...some time next week.

I did, I'm just questioning whether or not to get it. I have the M3 now, but I'm thinking about getting the perf in black. Not sure yet.

Do you not like the M3 or just like the performance better?

I know what you mean. I was going to do the M3 spoiler at first too, then decided the performance....it's tough to decide sometimes.
