AT Fluid, whats the best choice

Im at 50k miles and while i am installing bigger turbos this week, I was going to do a transmission service, Im pretty hard on the car, stay in sport mode, and it takes about 20 trips down the 1/8th mile each month, Ive always had good luck with redline products, so i wanted to see some suggestions.

here are there choices

I was at FFTEC two weeks ago getting my DME Flash and Flex kit installed and one of the guys at FFTEC told me the next time I needed to change my transmission oil I should use Hy-Gard Hydraulic/Transmission Oil from John Deere. I work for Deere & Company Corporate and would have never thought to use an oil product from John Deere, but it makes sense. We have some of the best products in the world, so why not... If the price is right... Not sure what you're paying for Redline.

I used ZF lifeguard 6, which is exactly the same as the OEM fluid but is available in 1 liter bottles.

i have read on some other forums that a blend of motul multi atf and dexron 3 does well for heavily loaded n54ATs

Ford uses Mercon SP in the ZF 6HP series transmissions in their cars.

I think there are some other people using the Redline D4 in their high HP/tq applications with the ZF 6HP21. (enrita)

Check out this book, chapter 2.
