Turn Signal Issues
I have an 07 328xi with the halogen headlights. I had the front passenger side turn signal go out last weekend. I pulled the bulb out and everything looked fine but the bulb housing that screws into the headlight looked a little burnt and blackened. I ordered a new backing part and a new bulb from Tischer and it just came in today. While waiting for the parts to come in the front driver blinker went out on Wednesday , is this related in anyway to the passenger side going out?
So i go out to work on this and no matter what combination, new backing, new bulb, old backing, old bulb I cannot get the passenger side to work. Is there a fuse or something that I'm missing for the front passenger side? I can get the driver side to work with the new bulb and old house so I know that bulb was bad but it looks fine. Any advice? |

I'm bumping this issue because I have the exact same problem. Passenger side front blinker is not operating. I have tried switching to a new bulb, but it still does not work. One side of the bulb housing (the part that screws in and out with the bulb) is blackened, and I tried to clean that off as much as possible to improve the electrical connection, but it did nothing. Now that I see the OP's new housing didn't work either, it makes me wonder.
Any ideas? |

headlight needs to be replaced...the contact inside the headlight gets burnt and even with a new bulb it will never make a good contact...replace the headlight and your problem should be fixed..
