My stock 335i vs Pro Charged GTO, LOL
What a mistake that was. My 2nd day owning the car so I was a little ahead of myself from all the excitement. Challenged my bud who has a Pro-Charged 6.0 GTO. Slow roll from first gear.. It was even through first. The second i shifted into 2nd.. It was a damn joke.. he was gone.. just gone. I wasnt too disapointed. My car is completely stock, and my shifting is rather slow since its a new car. Anyways, thought youd like to hear my Holy Shit I got Smoked story =O

Yeah it was fun! I got my laughs out of it. Im not huge into racing, but its fun to see where im at every now and then! I have a JB4 on the way, other than that my plans are down pipe, and intake, and that will be it!

But, and I'm only going to say this once so as not to sound like I'm preaching, it's much more fun and much safer to take it to the strip. If you like fast cars, that's a good place to go anyway. You don't plan on doing an intercooler? It's not all that expensive and it's actually a very good price-per-benefit mod. |

You'll never beat him in a straight line without some over the top mods, they call it American muscle for a reason. Next time pick a road with some sharp curves and unless he has some driving skills his pro-charger will only enhance the problems caused by his cars poor weight distribution and suspension. Even if he upgraded his suspension he most likely won't be able to keep up with you as there are very few American cars with the handling characteristics of a BMW and the GTO isn't one of them.

I'm sorry, at any point in my post did I specify public road? I guess the entire point of my message went over your head. While your working that out, let me specify for those that are a little slow and prone to suggestion that if your going to pick a PRIVATE road (drag, oval, course, etc) to race on then pick one that your car is designed to perform the best on. Thanks for the PSA.

Well, what do you think people are going to assume when you say "next time pick a road..."
Poor choice of words on your part, next time say track or something? I don't understand why you are so mad. |

OK, bad choice of words but I assume people here aren't dumb enough to go out and challenge someone to a high speed illegal race because someone on a web site said so regardless of my choice of words. If they do I hope they promptly get their ass thrown in jail and their car impounded before they wrap it around a tree injuring themselves, or god forbid someone else. Maybe I give people too much credit, its burned me before. For the record though, I'm not mad, didn't mean to get so defensive. we're

Take him to a road course, you will teach him something. Dont mess with Blown V8's its not a good situation most of the time. Can he be beat, sure he can but dont worry about that. As long as you knew the outcome, and enjoyed it thats all that matters. I personally think everyone from time to time needs a little humility.
